Both Terra and Raven are proof of this, as they're the constant romantic interests each iteration of his character. Beast Boy is an incredibly romantic person at heart, someone who loves to love and yearns to be loved.
It may seem incredibly random to say, but when you step back and think about Beast Boy across the various forms of media he's been in, it makes sense.
